A smooth bar that attracts a hip crowd of twenty-somethings, the Ibish Lounge can be tracked down just a short stroll from the Old City Gate. The owners pride themselves on keeping the sounds fresh and funky, drawing on all kinds of styles to keep the cauldron bubbling. Besides the turntable action, Ibish doubles as a more than reasonable place to settle down for lunch or dinner. The chef can dish up such tasty numbers as Duck in a Cranberry sauce and Camargue Chicken - he even tries his hand at frogs legs.... |

Went here on 'Minimal Monday' and met a lot of really cool people who had organized the subdued event consisting of their buddies playing unobtrusive techno music. The food looked good, but the bar only serves small beers, so you end up spending a lot of time standing at it. Chill atmosphere is ideal for slowly turning into a Cheshire cat, particularly with all the hash-smoking going on out front...
