Satta

This club is so 'underground' you'll only find its hip trappings and happening diversions with a local escort. Located (sans signage) behind a gallery, beyond a courtyard, below an apartment building off Vilnaius gatve before Gedimino (more than we should say), this is the place to be after 23:00 if you want to meet the local hipster scene and steer clear of the hooligans staying at your hostel. Creatively decorated with amorphous cushiony things and dangling drapes, Satta regularly has live music acts and DJs and is the city's number one hotspot on 'Fishday' (that is Thursday, named so because all meat except for fish was once unavailable in shops this day). A great place to meet people and get down, the stairwell outside the club is also an ideal place to catch a contact high or better. Happy hunting!

"I've had the chance to be brought to Satta by 2 lovely local people met in a previous bar (Woo). Satta was a joyful experience. This is a kind of 'alternative' place in Latvia. Cheap drinks, easy going people, I felt like being in my favorite places in Paris. People of anykind, anyage, good music, a lot of fun.. but indeed, I would not have found by myself..."
