Jazz & Rock Cafe

This live music club is essentially the Lithuanian equivalent of the sinister American franchise, Hard Rock Cafe - right down to the saxes and gits on the wall, mirrored ceiling and old-school rock music (Chuck Berry, Little Richard) playing through the place. On Fridays and Saturdays, live bands (mostly Lithuanian) play from 20:00 to 23:00, then the party moves to the dance-floor downstairs where it carries on until 3:00. Mainly a hangout for folks in their thirties, the food and wine are good, but the music is generally mediocre or just plain 'wanky.' You know, like sax players that look and act like their giving their instrument blowjobs and guitarists that play like they're receiving one.
