Not everyone seems to be head over heels with this place - we can't quite work out why.... Every time we've dropped in the service has been friendly, the food tasty and the atmosphere full of charm. There's no pretension towards haute cuisine but who'd want that every day of the week anyway? Gabi serves up flavoursome local cuisine just off the central Pilies Street. In Summer you can make the most of a flower bedecked courtyard, whilst in more wintry moments you can snuggle into the classically decorated dining room. Worth a try and inexpensive.

Just back from Vilnius which we loved.We ate two nights in a row at Gabi's.We enjoyed it...lovely old time atmosphere..the servie a bit slow at times but probably because theres some good home made cooking going on from scratch back in the kitchen! We did not mind..the meals were delicious and waiter/waitress polite and helpful.A lovely place!

It's because the owner is a jerk and perpetrator of underhanded dealings. Tourists (overweight Americans in particular) love this place, but the locals I think know better, that's why you hear mixed reviews...
