This is one of your better bets on the central Pilies street. Popular with students during term-time due to its location by the university, Zaltvyksle becomes an oasis of calm when holidays begin. We've enjoyed many mellow hours in the cobbled courtyard. However, depending on your mood (and on whether there's a metre of snow outside to be honest) you can sit on the main street and watch the world go by. Their koldunai are scrumptious (you can't leave Vilnius without trying this classic dish), as are the salti barsciai soups. Order up a beer and kick back Vilnius style.... |
