Christmas in the Capital City

Tis the season all December long with the lighting of an enormous evergreen and resident Santa in Cathedral Square, an Uzupis celebration, innumerable concerts in Vilnius churches, charity events, theatrical performances and the procession of the Three Kings. Whether you've been naughty or nice, Santa's got room for you on his list and knee this year. Give his bells a jingle for us.

New Year Celebrations

Join the locals at their New Year Celebrations Festival. Their arms are wide open, inviting you to listen to their traditional concerts of classical music, watch their fanciful end-of-year fireworks and enjoy their opera and ballet shows. This through-out-the-city event is organised by the Vilnius City Municipal Government. Stop procrastinating and grab your scarfs and gloves, and get out there to have fun whilst getting to know the real Lithuanian traditions and culture.
