What do you really need that you can't find right here, huh? We'll tell you: a bicycle. Riding a bike around Vilnius is not only a joy, it's criminally cheap thanks to this city service. Sexy hot pink bicycles are available at the tourist information centre on Vilniaus gatve for only 1 lita a day. We're not foolin'. The trick is getting yourself one, as they're often all gone by noon, or busted by the end of the summer. Still, it's well worth investigating.

There are three tourist info centres in Vilnius if you're after more than a bike and want some actual printed media (free maps are always handy). In addition to Vilniaus 22, there is tourist info smack in the centre at Town Hall (Didzioji 31), and at the railway station (Gelezinkelio 16).

The information centre is not renting bykes any more.

I came to Vilnius in the winter and they only had one bike in "working condition" - though all the others really needed was some air in the tires and a little realignment. Anyone with any know-how in bicycles should start a business in Vilnius - they're clueless. The sweet info ladies promised me more bikes for the actual tourist season, so give it a try.
